| Born in Washington, D.C. sculptor Julia Klemek has lived in southern California since 1975. She received her BFA from the Philadelphia College of Art and her MFA from UC Irvine. She has created a series of sculptural/functional benches for public and private spaces throughout California. Her works also include abstract pieces that are reinterpreted natural forms, figurative sculptures and low relief ceramic walls for swimming pools. Julia teaches Life Sculpture at Orange Coast College and a ceramics class at the Irvine Fine Arts Center. |
